| What does it mean to be a member of Macon's Wedding Ring? Membership in Macon's Wedding Ring is of great value because it is not easily achieved. To join, one must be sponsored by a current member and voted on by the entire membership. Anyone wanting to join must first attend a meeting with their sponsor and make a formal introduction to the group. The prospective member then leaves the meeting and the assembled members discuss and vote. A 2/3 majority is required for an invitation to join. Each member must sign and adhere to our Code of Ethics, and take an active role in the group. If a member is charged with violating the code of ethics, he or she can be removed from membership by a 2/3 majority vote after being called into question for a violation.
