The Wedding of Georgia and Dave
on October 15th, 2011
|
October 15th, 2011 I married my soul-mate, the love of my life, and my best friend. We
were so blessed to have found the website maconsweddingring.com that connected us to so
many amazing wedding vendors, who are local, experienced, very personal, and just a joy to be
around. Without the following wedding vendors, our wedding would not have been as beautiful,
fun and organized.
Foley Productions is run by Mark Foley and his team. He does an amazing job filming
weddings and receptions. The one thing we have to say about Mark is fast! We got our wedding
video back two weeks after we got married. We enjoyed getting to know Mark, his son was
home from out of state and he helped Mark with our wedding and we could tell that it really
meant a lot to him. Foley Productions videos are so touching and very sweet, I still get tearyeyed
every time I watch our wedding video.
Bobby Jo Carver is in fact the best caterer around. Her shrimp-n-grits are to die for. We
still get calls from people that came to our wedding wanting that shrimp-n-grits recipe. Her food
arrangement is very elaborate and beautiful, we loved how she did the fruit, it looked like a
waterfall coming off of a mountain. Bobby Joe also did the Bride’s cake, it was a 4-tiered and
very simple with flowers all around it. The cake was very good and I did not want to cut into it
because it was so beautiful. My husband’s favorite was her pork tenderloin, I believe that was
the only thing he ate and he said it was really good. What is so sweet about Bobby Jo is she
makes you a basket and puts everything inside the basket so you can eat it later. We enjoyed
that and just thought it was a really sweet touch.
Calista Anne Waddy is a very talented harpist. She played at the wedding and everyone
thought she did a really good job and so did we. I remember hearing Calista’s CD for the first
time, my mom and I were driving down the road and I was tearing up because her music was just
so beautiful and breath taking. We would recommend Calista for any wedding and Calista
herself is just so easy to work with.
DKH Entertainment is the way to go for all you entertainment needs. Kevin kept the
energy going from the beginning of the reception until the end. The reason why we chose Kevin
is because he did my brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s wedding and I saw the video of my
father-in-law breaking it down on the dance floor! I knew right then and there that Kevin was
going to be our DJ whenever we got married. Kevin is very friendly and also very
knowledgeable and gives great advise about weddings. When we were planning our wedding, I
remember going over to Kevin’s house to plan the music for the reception and we were over
there for around three hours. It did not seem like that long because Kevin welcomes us with
open arms inside his house and we talked like we had been friends for a very long time and we
thoroughly enjoyed that visit. We feel like we will keep in touch with Kevin for the years to
come.
Nectar and Company was my favorite part of our whole wedding. Carmen is the
sweetest, most compassionate person that I have ever met. She has a very bubbly personality
and she makes you feel like she is your best friend whenever you talk to her. I feel like our
wedding was one of the prettiest around because of Carmen and her team. Her center pieces will
take your breath away and all of the flower stands, candle sticks, and everything else are very
beautiful. Carmen has the best team in the world and I fell in love with every one of her
employees. They are very hard workers and they will bend over backwards for you. I saw
Carmen in Southern Living recently and I was so proud to say that we used her for our wedding.
KH Mason Photography is made of a husband and wife team, Kenneth and Heather. I
met Kenneth and Heather at a bridal show that I went to last January, and I was flipping through
all of their photo books, and they were the prettiest pictures that I had ever seen. I knew for sure
that they were the ones to photograph our wedding. We did our engagement pictures in July and
when we got the proofs back we wanted every single picture, so we ended up buying the CD.
Our wedding pictures were very beautiful as well and we got the CD as well because we wanted
every single picture. Heather and Kenneth are very friendly and every time I needed to email
Heather she got back to me in a fast and timely manner. We will for sure be using Heather and Kevin in the future.
The Blacksmith Shop is the way to go for a reception or if you are having a small
wedding. The guy who runs The Blacksmith Shop, Aubrey, was actually my neighbor in Gray,
and he is very friendly and will help you in any way possible. The Blacksmith Shop is very
beautiful and spacious, you will not be elbow to elbow with anyone when inside. It has a huge
dance floor so everyone can dance. We also loved the buffet room because everything can be
spread out and not cramped together. The bar area is also big, and it has a neat please to put the
wedding gifts, the pizza oven! We recommend The Blacksmith Shop for any kind of party or
reception that you are planning.
Macon Wedding Ring is the way to go for any wedding. Everyone was very helpful and
knowledgeable and I was not as stressed like I thought I would be because of these people. We
thoroughly enjoyed getting to know every single one of you and we hope to stay in touch in the
future.
